Swing dancers in Japan have been part of our scene since the early years of the revival. Some, like Tomo Tanaka, have even moved and become integral parts of the swing dance world in the USA. When the recent catastrophe devastated Japan, Tomo and other New York dancers have organized several events to raise money and spirits of their countrymen. Tomo, a New York artisan as well as swing DJ, designed this dance shoe bag to enable dancers to show support spiritually as well as making a contribution to the Japan Society, benefiting the victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.
