The Savoy Ballroom in New York City spanned an entire city block, and had dueling bandstands, so the music never stopped. The Chick Webb Orchestra was house band in the 1930's, and Chick ruled as "King of the Drums" for many years. The Savoy is considered the birthplace of the Lindy Hop and of swing dancing as we know it today. (Diagonal watermarks do not appear in the actual poster.)
