This is raw footage of dancing by the general public at the Savoy Ballroom. Although the music has changed and the mood has gone to "cool", you can still see how the Savoy got the reputation of having the best social dancers in the world. Spicing up the Cats Corner action is a visit of veterans of the Savoy in its heyday, Al Minns and Leon James. Dances include Mambo(as seen in our clip) as well as Bebop, Lindy, Shim Sham, Charleston, and an aerial Lindy contest for the Harvest Moon Ball Championships.
