Boogie Woogie is the dance where Marcus and Barbl's really shine. They have put together an outstanding DVD which is 151 minutes long and contains 6 sections with 35 different steps and moves for intermediate Boogie Woogie dancers. It also includes a bonus section with a few trick steps.

Every step is broken down and well explained. Marcus and Barbl show lead and follow, demonstrate the steps to music of different speeds and show them from different angles. After the instruction all the instructed steps are summarized in two dance demonstration. The instruction is recorded in English, but can alternatively also be watched with German subtitles (NEW!)

What is Boogie Woogie?

Boogie Woogie is a swing style which has its roots in the European 6-count style of the 50’s Rock’n’Roll that is similar to the US East Coast style. Boogie Woogie is famous for its hot, smooth, and exciting footwork and the emphasis on interpretation of the music without fixed choreography. Boogie Woogie reflects the exuberant feeling of the rockin’ fifties with its petticoats, greasy hair, pony tails, and cool attitude as interpreted by Europeans.

Today, Boogie Woogie is danced both socially and in competitions mainly to original music of the late 40s and 50s (e.g. Boogie Woogie, Rhythm ‘n’ Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rockabilly).
